MySA.com Article on TJHS Historical Preservation Society December 18, 2007: The Thomas Jefferson High School Historical Preservation Society offers "Grace of Giving" opportunity for alum to help put our school back in top condition.  [ see article ] The Lassos Alumni Association January 30, 2008: The Lassos Alumni Association is forming with all eyes on making Jefferson and its great traditions more visible to our city. Keep up with what this highly motivated alumni group is doing. Their first president, Susie Hollingsworth sends out regular updates, and TJHS.com posts them for easy access. [ more ] Is Multimedia All That New? 1960 Audio Supplement to Monticello The 1960 Monticello came out in print as usual, but there was a surprise that came along with it. The Sights of '60 was the yearbook's theme. "Well, what about the sounds?" someone asked at an editorial meeting. The Monticello supplied the sights. This recording, sent to TJHS.com by an alum, shared the sounds of the year. You'll be struck by the sound bites of the school song played by the band, the fight song at a pep rally, the archaic recording, and the unabashed use of prayer and mention of God. This is truly a time capsule treasure. [ listen ]
