[ more ] Thomas Jefferson Wall of Fame Inauguration November 13, 2008: The Wall of Fame, housing pictures of 16 distinguished Jefferson alumni was officially instituted today in the Student Union Building/Cafeteria trophy case. [ see online photo gallery ] Mustang Band Alumni Event Coverage TJHS.com extends a mighty Mustang"THANKS" to Ron Garcia for keeping the Jefferson spirit alive with his creations. Jefferson Band Boosters invited all Mustang Band alumni to join them in a fundraiser and to play along with this year's band during the halftime of the Jefferson/Fox Tech game on Thursday October 30, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the "rockpile" (Alamo Stadium). The Sights of '60 was the yearbook's theme. "Well, what about the sounds?" someone asked at an editorial meeting. The Monticello supplied the sights. This recording, sent to TJHS.com by an alum, shared the sounds of the year. You'll be struck by the sound bites of the school song played by the band, the fight song at a pep rally, the archaic recording, and the unabashed use of prayer and mention of God.
